Dr. Jay C. Larson
Board-Certified Podiatrist | Foot & Ankle Surgeon
Dr. Jay C. Larson brings over a decade of experience, advanced surgical training, and a patient-first approach to Sole Foot & Ankle Specialists. Board-certified and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, he’s known for explaining complex issues in simple terms and providing personalized care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Originally from Utah, Dr. Larson earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Health Education from Utah State University. He worked as a Health Education Specialist and Anesthesia Technician, experiences that shaped his passion for educating and empowering patients toward better long-term outcomes.
He completed his doctorate degree at Midwestern University in Arizona and a three-year surgical residency in Michigan, where he was elected Chief Resident.
Outside the office, Dr. Larson enjoys mountain biking, photography, and spending time with his wife, three children and cats. His compassionate, down-to-earth care has earned the trust of families across the Valley.

Dr. Jacob Nelson is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He brings a patient-first, solution-focused approach to Sole Foot & Ankle Specialists, emphasizing conservative care while offering advanced surgical options when needed.
An Arizona native, Dr. Nelson completed his medical training at Midwestern University and surgical residency at Tucson Medical Center, where he gained extensive experience in reconstructive surgery, trauma, and sports medicine.
Fluent in Spanish and known for his down-to-earth style, Dr. Nelson connects easily with patients of all ages. Outside the office, he enjoys life with his wife and three kids, often working on DIY projects or building epic blanket forts with the family.
